Carvone
Carvone is one of the key naturally occurring aroma compounds found in spearmint essential oil. It is a big part of what gives spearmint its clean, green, minty character.
The interesting thing about carvone is that it exists in mirror-image forms. One form is associated with the familiar smell of spearmint, while the other is associated with the warmer, spicy character of caraway and dill. Same basic molecule, different shape, very different scent impression.
In our soap, carvone is not added as an isolated ingredient. It comes naturally from the spearmint essential oil used in our scent blend. We include it on this page because it helps explain the bright, herbal lift in our spearmint-based bar.
Why We Use INCI Names
INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) names are the standardized ingredient names used for cosmetic labelling. They provide a consistent way to identify ingredients around the world, helping customers understand exactly what goes into every bar.
