Sodium Canolate
Canola Oil
Sodium Canolate is the official cosmetic ingredient name (INCI) for canola oil after it has gone through the traditional soapmaking process known as saponification. It begins as canola oil, a plant-based oil pressed from the seeds of the canola plant.
At Kaptainic, we use canola oil as part of our carefully balanced soap recipes. Once transformed into Sodium Canolate, it contributes to the overall character and craftsmanship of our finished cold process bars.
Why We Use INCI Names
INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) names are the standardized ingredient names used for cosmetic labelling. They provide a consistent way to identify ingredients around the world, helping customers understand exactly what goes into every bar.
