Sodium Cocoate
Coconut Oil
Sodium Cocoate is the official cosmetic ingredient name (INCI) for coconut oil after it has gone through the traditional soapmaking process known as saponification. It begins as coconut oil, a plant-based oil extracted from coconuts.
At Kaptainic, we use coconut oil as part of our carefully balanced soap recipes. Once transformed into Sodium Cocoate, it helps create the cleansing properties and rich lather associated with traditional cold process soap.
Why We Use INCI Names
INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) names are the standardized ingredient names used for cosmetic labelling. They provide a consistent way to identify ingredients around the world, helping customers understand exactly what goes into every bar.
